A few weeks ago Monsol monitored a photovoltaic plant called “Las Lomitas” in Panama with a power of 2MW. In the photovoltaic installation, Monsol has carried out the complete monitoring consisting of trackers, string boxes, inverters, meters and weather station, to provide greater control of the solar plant.
Our software allows the automation of the sending of a daily report with the productions and alarms, as well as instantaneous notifications in case of any failure.
Monitoring of meteorological stations
For the monitoring and correct operation of the photovoltaic plant in Panama, Monsol supplies and monitors the weather station. Depending on the customer’s needs, these may include radiation cells for small plants, as well as complex, high-precision structures with pyranometers, hygrometers, anemometers, dirt or shadow detection, barometers, etc.
Software suitable for all types of protocols
The data acquisition software is entirely developed by Monsol, which has an OPC (Open Platform Communications) in charge of reading the different protocols of the monitored devices: string boxes, inverters, meters, network analyzers, low/medium voltage cells, meteorological stations, etc. The software is compatible with open market protocols such as Modbus, SNMP or DNP3.
